5/25/2023 0 Comments Treesize windows server 2008![]() ![]() My question is how can I drill down on this $Recycle.Bin that is showing up on TreeeSize but I cannot see anything on the actual C drive. ![]() I have gone and ahead and cleared it using rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin. I have checked recycle bin and Recycle folder but didn't find anything. Most Windows users know that the easiest way to check the size of a folder is to open the folder properties in File Explorer. (C drive total space is 65GB and we are using 32GB that can be accounted for). Note: v9.0 was the last version of FolderSizes to support Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. With the TreeSize Windows app installed, you can run it to display a drive and folder/file size and find space hogs. This software can be used to analyze disk space for all Windows versions and server versions (both 32-bit and 64-bit) supported by Microsoft. The odd thing is this is almost the space missing in the C drive. TreeSize is a free disk space analyzer released by JAM software. It shows two things taking up all the space.one is the C drive and then interestingly Recycle bin showing almost the exact amount of space as the C drive (see pictures). On a few of my 2008 R2 servers the cbs.log files grew to 80 GB. ![]() As you can see in the previous figures, there are several icons in the taskbar at the top of the window. The TreeSize File Search allows you to search for files using various search criteria and perform versatile operations like move, archive, copy or rename on them. However, there are other ways to view the data. Finally I copied the C drive to a external hard drive and ran TreeSize Professional on it. TreeSize’s default behavior is to express each folder’s size as a percentage of the total space that has been consumed on the disk.
